Our Services
Dmitry Lev, an Attorney and Counselor at Law, handles Personal Bankruptcy cases in Massachusetts. In addition, Attorney Lev can help consumers with debt management matters, to stop abusive collections tactics by creditors, and with tax matters involving the IRS and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
The media is full of false reports by fly-by-night debt consolidation companies who promise relief from credit card debt, with some of these companies holding themselves out as non-profit agencies. These companies incorrectly report that bankruptcy is no longer an option for people who make over a certain level of income. It is true that sweeping new Bankruptcy Laws went into effect on October 17, 2005, but bankruptcy relief for consumers is still available, including relief under Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and even Chapter 11 for certain consumer debtors. There are a few more eligibility and documentation requirements, but the basic elements of relief (such as discharging most debts and protecting you and your property from creditors) still exist.
